This was my first time having photography outing at Malaysia’s National Zoo, as well as it’s my first time being there. Seriously for living in Kuala Lumpur for the past 27 years, I never been to National Zoo before. The least this photography outing gives me is the chance and reason to be there.
Equipped with Sony Alpha 300 (in which I just got back from Sony Service Center couple of days ago) and Sony SAL18250 (travel lens), this enable me to shoot picture at all range without the need of lens change. Draw back of this setup, under low lighting condition or active moving creatures, the image output are not sharp enough. However, it will do for an amateur like me 🙂
The longest area I spend my time taking pictures are on monkeys/baboon and the one Sumatran Tiger. As for Yong Bin, he took almost 2 hours waiting for the Hippopotamus to open out it’s mouth; and take it’s picture. It was well worth the wait… We completed our Zoo Photography by roughly 4pm.
Below are some of the pics taken at the Zoo…
